UK distributor Axiom Films has picked up three titles from Toronto to add to its growing slate.

They are Goodbye Solo, Sugar and The Sea Wall.

Memento is selling Ramin Bahrani's Goodbye Solo, which won the Fipresci prize at Venice Critics Week. The story follows an African-born cab driver who befriends an elderly man in the American South.

Maximum Films sold Sugar, the new film from Half Nelson's Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden. It premiered at Sundance and tells the story of a Dominican man who tries to make it as a baseball player. It marks a reunion with Axiom, which also released Half Nelson in the UK.

Rithy Panh's The Sea Wall, a TIFF Special Presentation, was sold by Films Distribution. Isabelle Huppert stars in the period epic in 1930s French Indochina.

Axiom expects to finalise deals on a further two titles immediately.

Axiom's distribution slate also includes Wim Wenders' The Palermo Shooting and John Sayles' Honeydripper.

Axiom is also a production company, working on Venice debut Broken Lines starring Paul Bettany.
