Kathy Baker and James Brolin have joined Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson on the cast of Overture Films' romance Last Chance Harvey, which is set to begin filming in and around London this week [Oct 1].

Eileen Atkins, Richard Schiff and newcomer Liane Balaban have also boarded the project about a struggling New York jingle writer and a lonely British bureaucrat whose paths cross in London.

Overture is financing and will distribute the film in North America. Paramount Vantage is handling international sales under Overture's foreign rights deal with the Paramount Pictures fold, and recently commenced sales at Toronto.

Tim Perell and Nicola Usborne are producing and Jawal Nga serves as executive producer. Overture's executive vice president of production and acquisitions Robert Kessel will oversee production.

Overture Films' slate includes the crime thriller Righteous Kill with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino and the spy thriller Traitor with Don Cheadle. The company acquired Thomas McCarthy's drama The Visitor at Toronto.
