Thirteen features will compete for the 21st Annual InternationalDocumentary Association Awards, including box office hit Mad Hot Ballroom, and hot theatrical titles Murderball, Enron: The Smartest Guys In The Room and Why We Fight.

Two features from the shortlistwill be chosen for top honours when the winners are unveiled at the IDA AwardsBenefit Gala on Dec 9 in Los Angeles.

Other contenders include Jeff Zimbalist and Matt Mochary's tale ofthe Afro-reggae movement in Favela Rising, and Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady's juvenile detention taleThe Boys Of Baraka.

Also on the shortlist are Wayne Ewing's The Last Campaign, Michele Ohayon's Cowboy Del Amor, Jon Alpert's The Last Cowboy, Sean Langan's Mission Accomplished, Tibor Kocsis' New Eldorado, Rachel Boynton's Our Brand Is Crisis, and Marshall Curry's Street Fight.

Titles competing in the short film category are A Note OfTriumph: The Golden Age Of Norwin Corwin, Children Of Leningradsky, PhantomLimb, Positively Naked andSomething's Brewing In Shiner.

The Continuing Series categorynominees are American Experience, CNN Presents, Nova, Lyndal's Lifeline and The Deadliest Catch.

Limited Series category nominees are And You Don't Stop: 30Years Of Hip Hop, FDR: A Presidency Revealed, Nova: Origins, Rwanda: Do ScarsEver Fade' and TheStaircase.

This year's box officesensation March Of The Penguins from LucJacquet is in the running for the Pare Lorentz Award honouring activism andlyrical vision, along with fellow contenders Favela Rising and New Eldorado.

Dan Geller and Dayna Goldfine's Ballets Russes, Enron: TheSmartest Guys In The Room andWhy We Fight areamong candidates vying for the IDA/ABC News Videosource Award.
