Hunger producer Laura Hastings-Smith (pictured) plans an autumn shoot.

Laura Hastings-Smith, award-winning producer of Cannes favourites Steve McQueen’s Hunger and Hideo Nakata’s Chatroom, has a new project in the market. This Little Piggy (which UK sales and finance outfit Bankside is handling) is to shoot in the early autumn. The film is being executive produced by Robin Gutch for Warp Films.

Genre thriller This Little Piggy is about a young woman whose weekend camping with her new boyfriend and his daughter becomes a fight for survival. When her boyfriend goes missing, she and the child investigate the nearby farm and find themselves trapped like animals facing a terrifying death.

Casting is underway and will be announced shortly. Bankside will handle world sales and will also executive produce the project.
