After months of speculation, Warner Bros executive Basil Iwanyk has joined Intermedia as president of production. He will oversee the company's producer alliances and focus on developing and producing big budget studio films.
Iwanyk started his career as a trainee agent at UTA, moving to Warner Bros as a creative executive in 1993 before being named vice president of production in 1998.
"With Basil we have been able to secure one of the rare talents in Los Angeles which combines rich experience in major film projects with the force and entrepreneurship which Internationalmedia stands for," said Florian Bollen, CEO of Intermedia's parent company Internationalmedia in a statement.
