The 31st Belgrade International Film Festival will be held from Feb 28 until Mar 9 featuring films that have participated at major world festivals in the past year.

The selection is divided into six programmes and will feature some 90 movies, including Chicago, The Man Without A Past, Rabbit-Proof Fence, Catch Me If You Can, 24 Hour Party People, Lilja 4 Ever, The Magdalene Sisters, 28 Days Later, Adaptation, 25th Hour, Far from Heaven, The Hours, Ten Minutes Older (both Trumpet and Cello), Spider, About Schmidt, Ararat, The Ring, Solaris and Hukkle.

Among expected guests are Brad Pitt and Michael Caine, whose The Quiet American will open the Festival. The Festival will be closed by the Yugoslav-Croatian-Bosnian-Bulgarian co-production Bare Ground (Ledina) by Ljubisa Samardzic, which has recently had its successful world premiere as a part of the Panorama programme of the Berlin Film Festival.
