Beyond Films has added twoUK films to its slate at Berlin. Richard Kwietniowsky is to direct black comedyNo One Gets Off In This Town, which is expected to star Brenda Blethyn,Jane Horrocks, John Hurt Amira Casar and Rupert Evans. "We are pre-selling thefilm as part of the financing," said Beyond, senior sales and acquisitionsexecutive Stephen Kelliher But the company did not reveal plot or budgetdetails. The film will be produced by Creep producer Jason Newmark ofDan Films.

The company will also try toraise finance for Gillies MacKinnon's Flesh & Blood, a story ofmulti-generational male relations. The film, to be produced by Sally Hibbin andJane Robertson, will star Gary Lewis.

Beyond also announced thatit has attached Marc Evans (Trauma, My Little Eye) to direct The DeadWait, a South African war story starring Colin Firth and James McAvoy.Ahead of that, Evans is expected to direct Snowcake for Canada's RhombusMedia and the UK's Revolution Films.
