US film school Dodge College of Film and Media Arts has announced the lineup for the Busan West Asian Film Festival (Nov 11-13), run in collaboration with South Korea’s Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).

Busan West 2011 will feature eleven films from five countries: China, Korea, Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam. The Host 3D and Chinese smash AfterShock bookend the festival.

The three North American premieres come from Bong Joon-ho’s The Host 3D, Korean animation Leafie, A Hen Into the Wild and Filipino drama Niño from Loy Arcenas, winner of the New Currents Award from BIFF 2011.

Writer/director Bong Joon-ho (Mother, Memories of Murder), will receive the Busan West Icon Award and present his film The Host 3D. The director will also participate in a Busan West masterclass where he will discuss writing and directing with Dodge College students.
