Buena Vista International Television (BVITV), the film and TV sales arm of Disney, struck a number of film deals in small territories during this week's MIP-TV market in Cannes.

With PoPTV, the largest commercial broadcaster in Slovenia, it agreed to supply films including Gone In 60 Seconds, Armageddon, TV movies including Moms On Strike and Casper A Spirited Beginning. Series covered by the agreement included Alias, Scrubs and Eight Simple Rules For Dating My Daughter.

Armageddon, Snake Eyes, Pretty Woman, High Fidelity and The Ice Storm are among the feature highlights of a package sold to Finnish commercial broadcaster MTV3. Disney-branded children's features sold include Oliver & Company, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Love Bug and Annie.

BVITV also struck its first ever deal for Italian-speaking Switzerland. With Swiss public broadcaster TSI it agreed a mult-genre package that included current features The Talented Mr Ripley, Scary Movie, Spy Kids, Apocalypse Now Redux, Pearl Harbor, High Fidelity, and Disney's The Kid. Classic films include Cabaret and Mary Poppins.
