French star AnnaMouglalis, Chloe Sevigny and Stephen Rea will head the cast of Sisters, Douglas Buck's remake of BrianDe Palma's cult 1973 thriller which Voltage Picture is selling here.

Production is scheduledto begin on March 13 in Vancouver on the first title from Ed Pressman's Pressman &Company and Image Entertainment's genre label No Remorse. Pressman was theoriginal producer of Sisters whichessentially launched De Palma's career as well as that of lead actress MargotKidder.

Sevigny plays an investigative reporter who probes adisturbing relationship between a psychiatrist played by Rea and one of hispatients (Mouglalis), and ends up witnessing ahomicide.

Mouglalis replaces Asia Argento, whowas originally set to star when the project was announced at AFM last November.

"We couldn't behappier with the globally prestigious cast we have assembled for Sisters," Pressman said. "Sisters is asophisticated, complex film and the same could be said for our outstandingensemble."

Pressman and Alessandro Camon are producing and Grosvenor Park's Lee Solomon and Insight's Kirk Shaw are serving asexecutive producers.

Buck co-wrote thescreenplay with John Freitas. Ed Dzubakwill score the picture in homage to Bernard Herrmann who scored the original.

Mouglalis' credits include Chantal Akerman'sLa Captive, Claude Chabrol's Merci PourLe Chocolat and Michele Placido'sCrime Novel which is in Competitionhere.

Sales have already closed with Artportin Japan, Wild Side in France, Limelonin Italy, Imagem in Brazil, Quality in Mexico, Nordisk in Scandinavia, Belga in Benelux, Gulf in the Middle East, Hollywood in Greece, Cathay in Malaysia and Singapore, and Star TV for Pan Asian TV.
