Veteran talent manager and producer Willie Chan has launched a Hong Kong-based production company, Kudos Films, in partnership with actor Juno Mak.

The company’s first projects include Let’s Go, directed by Wong Ching-po and starring Mak along with Patricia Ha, Stephy Tang and Wang Yu. The film is currently in post-production.

Kudos is also working on a new project with acclaimed Hong Kong director Stanley Kwan – futuristic love story To The End Of Love (Tade Guo), which will also star Mak. The project took part in this year’s Hong Kong Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF).

Mak, who is managed by Chan, was recently named best actor at the 15th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival for his role in Wong Ching-po’s Revenge: A Love Story. He was also involved in developing the original screenplay of the film.

Wong was awarded the Silver George award for best director, as well as The Second Diploma of Russian Film Critics, at the recent Moscow International Film Festival for the same film.

Chan is the former manager of Jackie Chan and has produced scores of films including Shinjuku Incident, New Police Story and Kwan’s Everlasting Regret.
