The new spy based inspired by Jason Bourne creator Robert Ludlum will collect his honour in Las Vegas on Apr 26.
Renner will star as Aaron Cross in The Bourne Legacy when Universal unleashes the film on Aug 3, bookending what could become a super summer for the actor, who stars as Hawkeye in Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated season opener The Avengers.
“With his quiet and explosive intensity, Jeremy Renner has been entertaining audiences for a long time,” CinemaCon managing director Mitch Neuhauser said.
“However, it was his incredible performance in the Academy Award-winning The Hurt Locker that truly catapulted him into the public eye as one of our most talented and gifted actors today.
