MTG owned Nordic broadcaster TV3 has backed its first everfeature film, the romantic comedy Nynne, which starts shooting inCopenhagen from Oct 18.

The $2.4m (DKK14,5m)project, which is based on the local bestseller Nynne's Diary,has had a number of different producers, writers and directors attached overthe year, but now heads for the screen with Jonas Elmer at the helm based on ascript by Mette Heeno (Terkel In Trouble) and produced by Christian E.Christiansen for Angel Film Production. Elmer's previous credits include Let'sGet Lost (1997) and Mona's World (2001) as well as the popular localsitcom Langt Fra Las Vegas.

The Bridget Jones-like story follows the life of the 30something Nynne, struggling with life in the big city. Mille Dinesen, who just graduated from the National Theatre School,makes her feature debut opposite Lars Kaalund (Italian For Beginners),Jimmy Joergensen (Old, New, Borrowed And Blue) and Stine Stengade (Kira'sReason). The project is backed with $1m from the Danish Film Institute. Itshoots for seven weeks and Angel plans a September 2005 release.

TV3, which can be seen in 70% of all Danish homes, is run byViasat Broadcasting Denmark -part of the Nordic media major Modern Times Group's TV division.
