British filmmaker Danny Boyle has signed a three-year deal with Fox Searchlight and Pathe Pictures. Under the terms of the agreement, Fox Searchlight and Pathe will co-finance and co-produce Boyle’s projects.

Pathe will distribute in territories including the U.K. and France. Meanwhile, Searchlight will distribute in the U.S. and other territories not handled by Pathe.

Speaking about the deal, Boyle said:”I’m delighted to be working long term with Fox Searchlight and Pathe. Their support for me over the last 10 years and their commitment and vision during the extraordinary journey of Slumdog Millionaire has been exemplary.

“I hope this deal will enable me to repay their continued faith many times over with exciting and original films.”

Boyle has yet to announce his next film but looks set to collaborate with leading Indian filmmakers Shekhar Kapur and Anurag Kashyap following talks with both on his recent trip to Mumbai.
