Lakeshore Entertainment hascast Diane Lane in the lead in its thriller Untraceable and will introduce the project to buyers at AFM nextmonth.

Gregory Hoblit is attachedto direct the story of an FBI cybercop played by Lane who tracks down aruthless online predator. Allison Burnett wrote the final script from anoriginal screenplay by Robert Fyvolent and Mark R Brinker.

Production is set to beginin February. Lakeshore chairman and chief executive officer Tom Rosenberg andpresident Gary Lucchesi are producing along with Andy Cohen and Steven Pearl,who brought the original screenplay to the company.

"Diane's unique talentand ability to connect with audiences bring realism to this chilling and timelystory," Rosenberg said. "A story that examines the darker side oftechnology and our voyeuristic tendencies."

Lane earned an Academy Awardnomination for Unfaithful in2003, and her credits include the current release Hollywoodland, Under TheTuscan Sun, The Perfect Storm, Must Love Dogs, and A Walk On the Moon.

Hoblit's recently wrappedthe thriller Fracture starringAnthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling, and he previously directed Primal Fear and Fallen.

Lakeshore Entertainment'sAFM slate includes Gianni Amelio's drama The Missing Star, which premiered in Venice and Toronto; and MichaelApted's historical drama Amazing Grace.

Upcoming releases include TheDead Girl, directed by KarenMoncrieff and starring Toni Collette and Brittany Murphy; and the genrethriller Blood And Chocolate starringAgnes Bruckner, Olivier Martinez, and Hugh Dancy which will be releaseddomestically through its distribution arrangement with MGM.
