‘Toy Story 5’

After Universal crossed $4bn at the 2026 global box office earlier this month, Disney has reached the milestone powered by Pixar’s Toy Story 5 and 20th Century Studios’ The Devil Wears Prada 2.

Toy Story 5 has raced to $1.1bn worldwide comprising more than $470.7m from North America and $624m from international markets. It currently ranks as the third highest-grossing Hollywood release of the year so far.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 has more than doubled the original film’s lifetime global box office on $691m. The comedy earned more than $220m in North America and$471m internationally and has pushed the franchise past $1bn worldwide.

Coming up for Disney this year are 20th Century Studios’ The Dog Stars from Ridley Scott, Searchlight Pictures’ Venice world premiere Wild Horse Nine from Martin McDonogh, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Hexed, and Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday.

Disney has ranked as the top Hollywood studio in nine of the last ten years.

Universal passed the milestone last week.
