EXCLUSIVE: Santa Monica-based Lightning Entertainment has announced two deals, adding horror film One Way Trip 3D to its sales slate and singing a three-film worldwide distribution deal with LA’s Scorpio Studios.

One Way Trip 3D is in post and follows a group of friends on a camping trip who enter a world of terror when they devour magic mushrooms.

Markus Welter directed and Lightning is showing a promo here. Switzerland’s HesseGreutert Film produces with Austria’s Superfilm.

The deal with Scorpio Studios covers martial arts thriller Unbeatable 3D and romantic adventure Treasured - both of which are scheduled to go into production in Asia this year - followed by the action thriller Timeclock.

Scorpio partners Din Altit and Kevin Summerfield are developing the projects and Lightning will handle international sales and distribute in the US through its multi-platform apparatus.

“Working with Din and Kevin on a slate of highly commercial, market-proven media properties allows Lightning Entertainment to be directly involved in the type of action-oriented material that works well in today’s international landscape,” Lightning’s vp of acquisitions and business development Audrey Delaney said. Delaney negotiated the three-film deal with Altit.
