Eagle Pictures in Italy and Les Films de L'Elysee in Benelux are the first major independents to buy territories on Summit Entertainment's thriller Blackout starring Ashley Judd, Samuel L Jackson and Andy Garcia.

Directed by Phil Kaufman (The Right Stuff, Rising Sun), the film is produced by Kopelson Entertainment and Intertainment AG and stars Judd as a hotshot police detective on the trail of a serial killer whose victims all have some connection to her.
