Berlin-based EEAP has secured Eastern European rights to Saw 5, the latest edition of the horror franchise, the Hilary Swank-starrer Betty Ann Waters, and Mike Judge's comedy Extract starring Jason Bateman.
This is in addition to previously announced deals in Cannes for Last Chance Harvey, Traitor, and Love N'Dancing, among others.
Meanwhile, EEAP continues its close and successful collaboration with Til Schweiger and Tom Zickler's production house Barefoot Films by acquiring Eastern European rights to the company's latest project, 1½ Knights - In The Search Of The Ravishing Princess Herzelinde which began shooting in Saxony-Anhalt from mid-May.
Warner Bros. Pictures Germany is the co-producer and distributor of the medieval comedy, starring and directed bySchweiger.
The cast features Rick Kavanian, Hannelore Elsner, Denis Moschitto, Udo Kier and Fatih Akin plus TV presenter Thomas Gottschalk and comedians Karl Dall and Dieter Hallervorden to singer Roberto Blanco and Focus magazine editor Helmut Markwort.
