Cary Elwes andJohn Heard have joined the cast of Millennium Films and Emmett/Furla Films'journalism thriller Edison, which stars Kevin Spacey, Morgan Freeman, LL Cool J and JustinTimberlake and began production on Saturday in Vancouver.

The storyfollows a young journalist (Timberlake) who teams up with a reporter (Freeman)and the district attorney's ace investigator (Spacey) to uncover a corruptpolice unit. Elwes will play the district attorney and Heard plays a policecaptain.

David Burke isdirecting based on his screenplay and the project is being produced by RandallEmmett, George Furla and John Thompson with Millennium's Avi Lerner, BoazDavidson, and Trevor Short serving as executive producers.

"Production ismoving along well and the performances of the entire cast are outstanding,"Emmett said in a statement. "The addition of Cary and John rounds out ourcast and we are looking forward to having them join us in Vancouver in thecoming days."
