EternalSunshine Of The Spotless Mind raised its domestic box office tally by $2.4m to $25.9m at theweekend to become the biggest grossing film written by Charlie Kaufman.

In 24 days FocusFeatures' acclaimed quirky romance has overtaken Being John Malkovich, which was released by USA Films in 1999and grossed $22.9m over five months, and Columbia Pictures' Adaptation, which grossed $22.3m over four months.

Kaufman's other filmsinclude Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind, which was released by Miramax in 2002 and took $16m, and Fine Line's HumanNature, which finished on $705,000following a month-long run in 2002.

The picture begins itsinternational roll-out in Australia this week (15) followed by the UK on Apr30, with the rest of the world set to follow during the rest of the year. Focusis handling all international sales and distribution.
