For the third year in a row, Guy Maddin and Isabella Rossellini will have films shown at the forthcoming Berlinale.

My Winnipeg, Maddin's autobiographical fairytale about his Canadian native city, and Rossellini's three one-minute Green Porno shorts made for mobile phones and mobile video players will have their international premieres as the opening presentation of the Berlinale's Forum on February 8.

Maddin's silent movie Brand Upon The Brain! about childhood trauma and homesickness was shown at this year's Forum in the Deutsche Oper Berlin with musical accompaniment by the Volkswagen Orchester. Three foley artists added sounds live on stage and Rossellini led the audience through the eents as the narrator.

In 2006, Maddin and Rossellini's joint film My Dad Is 100 Years Old as an homage to the actress's director father Roberto Rossellini was shown in the Berlinale Special sidebar.
