Woody Harrelson, Samantha Morton, Jena Malone and Eamonn Walker have now joined Ben Foster in Oren Moverman's The Messenger.

The film will start shooting May 20, and marks the directorial debut of I'm Not There and Jesus' Son veteran writer Moverman. Alessandro Cameron wrote the story and co-wrote the screenplay with Moverman.

The project is described as a poignant, life-affirming road movie.

Mark Gordon and Lawrence Inglee will produce for the Mark Gordon Company, along with Zach Miller of Reason Pictures. Omnilab, Sherezade Films Development and Bryan Zuriff are financing.

Shaun Reddick and Nate Bolotin of The Collective teamed with The Mark Gordon Company and Reason Pictures to help package the movie and negotiate the financing, and they will serve as executive producers.

ContentFilm International will be selling the film at the upcoming Cannes Market.
