Takahashi Izumi's What the Heart Craves has won the Golden Digital Award in the Asian Digital Competition section of this year's Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF).

Peng Tao's Little Moth won the Silver Digital Award in the same section.

Meanwhile, the Humanitarian Award for Best Documentary went to Li Ying for Yasukuni while Feng Yan took the Humanitarian Award for Outstanding Documentary for Bingai.

The Monk by Chan Siu-hei, which had previously won the Best Film Award in the Student Division of the Fresh Wave Short Film Competition, beat out the other contenders and captured the overall Grand Prize in this section.

In other categories Aditya Assarat's Wonderful Town won the FIPRESCI Prize, Jan Sverák's Empties received the SIGNIS Award, with a trio of SIGNIS Special Mentions given to The Band's Visit by Eran Kolirin, Buddha Collapsed Out of Shame by Hana Makhmalbaf and Stefan Ruzowitzky's The Counterfeiters.

The 32nd HKIFF ends on April 6.
