Pixar animation TheIncredibles was the undisputed winner over the Chinese New Year holidayperiod racking up US$1.9m from 54 screens in it second week for a cumulativegross of US$3.5m.
Warner Bros' Constantinetook second place in the chart with US$1.5m from 38 screens in the week to Feb16 for a nine-day cumulative gross of US$1.99m. The supernatural thriller,which opened one day before the five-day holiday on Feb 8, was supported by apromotional visit from top Hollywood star Keanu Reeves - a rare occurrence inHong Kong.
Meanwhile, the two localChinese New Year offerings - China Star's Himalaya Singh and MediaAsia's Seoul Raiders - had to contend for third and fourth positionrespectively over the holiday period.
Himalaya Singh took US$774,054 in its second week for a cumulativegross of US$1.7m. Seoul Raiders grossed US$628,076 in the week to Feb16. The action comedy, starring Tony Leung Chiu-wai, has taken US$906,936 sinceit opened on Feb 5.
