Italian sales outfit Intra Movies has closed a UK deal in Berlin with Hi-Fliers on Czech World War Two film, Tobruk.

Directed by Vaclav Marhoul, thestoryis about a20-year-old volunteer in the Czech army in North Africa in the autumn of 1941.

Showing its increasing appetite for eastern European fare, Intra has also taken on world sales on Vinko Bresan's Croatian title Will Not Stop There about a Croatian war veteran whose life changes when he falls for the leading actress in a Serbian porn film. The film, a market premiere this week, will be screening in Karlovy Vary.

Intra has also closed a deal on Czech comedy Frankie Is A Womanizer with Sirena Films for Poland.

Here at the EFM, Intra has also been screening Federico Bondi's Mar Nero, which won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury in Locarno, and follows the relationship between an elderly Italian woman and her Romanian migrant caretaker.
