Karyn Kusama’s Jennifer’s Body, starring Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried, will open the Toronto International Film Festival’s cult-themed Midnight Madness sidebar.

Written and executive produced by Diablo Cody of Juno fame, Jennifer’s Body tells the story of a small-town prom queen, played by Fox, who is transformed into the incarnation of evil.

There will also be world premieres of George A Romero’s Survival Of The Dead and Michael and Peter Spierig’s Daybreakers, starring Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe and Sam Neill.

TIFF also announced world premieres of several documentary features, including How To Fold A Flag, a look at post-combat Iraq veterans from the makers of Gunner Palace, and Emmett Malloy’s The White Stripes Under Great White Northern Lights, a behind-the-scenes look at the band’s tour across Canada.

Meanwhile, TIFF is expanding its range of audience prizes to include Midnight Madness and documentaries. This year’s event will inaugurate the Cadillac People’s Choice Award – Documentary and the Cadillac People’s Choice Award – Midnight Madness.
