The executive has been in the studio fold since 2006 in his capacity as an executive at Scott Stuber’s Universal-based Bluegrass Films.

Mone recently served as executive producer on global smash Ted, which remains Universal’s biggest film of the year-to-date and was produced by Stuber who brought it to the studio with Media Rights Capital.

Mone is currently overseeing production for Universal’s long-in-the-works 47 Ronin, which is set for release on Dec 25, 2013.

He will also oversee development on Universal’s big screen action-adventure adaptation of Moby Dick and thriller The Prisoner, inspired by the UK TV series that aired in the late 1960s.

Prior to joining Bluegrass he was an associate producer on Miracle starring Kurt Russell and Invincible starring Mark Wahlberg.
