Greg Lombardo's comedy Knots has been named the closing night film of this year'sGen Art Film Festival on April 20 in New York City.

The festival which starts onApril 6 is now in its ninth year and was founded in 1996 to showcase emergingUS independent film-makers. Among the films it has screened include directorialdebuts by Brad Anderson (The Darien Gap), Tim Blake Nelson (Eye Of God) and Peter Mattei (Love In The Time Of Money). This year, courtesy of Acura, Gen Art will award$10,000 to its best feature winner and $5,000 to its best short winner asselected by the festival jury.

Knots, which was co-written by Lombardo and Neil Turitzand produced by Lombardo, Turitz and Dan Abrams, stars Scott Cohen, JohnStamos, Annabeth Gish, Paulina Porizkova, Michael Leydon Campbell and Tara Reidand takes a male viewpoint on modern sexual relationships.
