Lightning Entertainment haspicked up international sales on Jeff Kanew's romantic comedy Adam & Eve and is partnering up with National Lampoon for adomestic theatrical release.
New Line Home Entertainment will release on DVD and video the story of a collegestudent who dates a virgin and battles to stay faithful until she decides torelinquish her virginity.
Cameron Douglas and Emmanuelle Chriqui Kanew star in the picture, which Kanewdirected from an original screenplay by his son Justin Kanew.
Lightning's Richard S Guardian, Marc Greenberg and Rich Goldberg negotiated thedeal with Adam and Eve Productions' Kanew and producer Marty Caan.
"Adam & Eve is a realaudience pleaser," Guardian said. "It has raucous comic elements that appealsolidly to a teen audience, but at its core it is an incredibly tender andmoving love story starring two wonderful and appealing actors who are apleasure to watch."
