Norwegian director-actress Liv Ullmann, the muse of filmmaker Ingmar Bergman, will star in Swedishdirector’s Stig Bjorkman’s Scenes From An Artistry (Scener Ur Ett Konstnärskap), the sequel to ImagesFrom The Playground (Bilder Från Lekstugan).

Both films have received finance from the Swedish Film Institute and it will launch Scenes From An Artistry, which is an hour long, at the Cannes Classique 2010. Images From The Playground will have its world premiere at next month’s Cannes International Film Festival.

Ullman will act as the storyteller sitting at a table of film stills talking about her life and work with Bergman. It will recall the opening scene in Bergman’s Saraband.

The film will also include clips from Shame (Skammen/1968), Cries and Whispers (Viskningar Och Rop/1972), Scenes from a Marriage (Scener Ur Ett Aktenskap/1973), Face to Face (Ansikte Mot Ansikte/1976), From the Life of the Marionettes (Aus Dem Leben der Maronetten/1980), Autumn Sonata (Höstsonaten/1978) and After theRehearsal (Efter Repetitionen/1984).

Ullmann will also be interviewed by Björkman on stage at the Ingmar Bergman International Theatre Festival in Stockholm, which runs May 27 - June 6.
