Former Rank Screen Advertising MD to receive London memorial service on May 25
A memorial celebration of the life of Peter Howard-Williams has been set for 11am on May 25 at St Brides church on Fleet Street in London followed by a reception in The Press Bar.
Howard-Williams died after a short illness in Dec last year in Portugal where he had retired.
He entered the cinema business in the mid-1970s at Rank Screen Advertising (RSA), and spent 18 years there, rising to become managing director. However, when Rank sold RSA, he joined arch rivals Pearl & Dean, successfully relaunching that company in 1993.
In 1999, Pearl & Dean was sold to the Scottish Media Group at which point Howard-Williams left to pursue other interests.
