Los Angeles-based Lightning Entertainment has picked up international sales on the horror title Wrestlemaniac and will introduce the project to buyers at AFM next week.

Jesse Baget wrote and makes his feature directorial debut on Wrestlemaniac, which follows a crew of amateurfilmmakers who stumble upon a hidden ghost town in Mexico where they encounteran insane wrestler who picks them off one by one.

The picture stars Rey Misterio, one of the most famous Mexicanwrestlers in the world, along with Irwin Keyes, WWE personality Leyla Milani,Adam Huss, and Jeremy Radin.

Jake Schmidt and Chris Moore produced through Schmidt's filmfinance and production company The Film Fund.

Lightning's AFM slate includes the coming-of-age comedy HeyHey, Its Esther Blueburger,spiritual drama Conversations With God, and psychological thrillers Grimm Love and The Killing Floor.
