Leigh was last in Berlin with 2008’s Happy-Go-Lucky.

British film director Mike Leigh will be the jury president of the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival.

Leigh is a frequent visitor to Berlin with films such as Meantime (1984), short The Short and Curlies (1988), Life is Sweet (1991) and Happy-Go-Lucky (2008).

Leigh’s last film was Oscar nominated Another Year. His play Grief is currently running in the UK until late January.

The Berlinale runs Feb 9-19.
