Maeva Gatineau has been promoted to vice president of acquisitions at Miramax Films.

Gatineau, who has been working in Miramax's UK office for four years, will continue to oversee European acquisitions alongside Elizabeth Dreyer, vice president of acquisitions. They will both report to Agnes Mentre, executive vice president of acquisitions and co-productions, and Andrew Herwitz, senior vice president of acquisitions.

Gatineau was instrumental in the recent acquisitions of Everybody Famous, Italian For Beginners, Jet Set and Amelie. She joined Miramax as assistant to Teresa Moneo, senior vice president of acquisitions and co-productions.
