The 2013 awards will take place at the Troxy in London on Feb 21.

The official list of finalists has been released for the 2013 Music+Sound Awards taking place on Feb 21.

The awards are the first and only programme to recognise and celebrate the role that music and sound design play in the world of visual media.

Nominated in the film category are iLL Manors [pictured], Brave, Snow White and the Huntsman, Ted, Moonrise Kingdom, Anna Karenina, Marley and Seven Psychopaths.

In TV & Cinema advertising, the nominees are John Lewis’ ‘The Journey’, Marks & Spencer’s ‘Summer to Remember’, Hovis’ ‘Farmer’s Lad’, Durex’s ‘Vinyl’, Audi A5’s ‘The Swan’, and McDonald’s ‘Tom & Jerry’.

The event will take place at the Troxy in London and will be hosted by comedian and entertainer Tom Webb. Entertainment will be provided by The Heavy, who have recently soundtracked for films such as Ted, Flight and 21 Jump Street.

This year the awards will be supporting charity Nordoff Robins which helps to keep music therapy sessions in schools day centres, hospitals and care homes.
