Early in the AFM, Paris-based Roissy Films has confirmed new deals on its Cannes hit Caramel.

Deals signed include Argentina & Chile (Alfa Films), Mexico (Cine Video Y TV) and India (Alliance). A deal is pending with South Korea. and Roissy is also in advanced negotiations with Japan & Taiwan.

Directed by Nadine Labaki, Caramel premiered in the Cannes Quinzaine. Its
title comes from a method of removing bodily hair by using heated sugar, water and lemon juice. The film revolves around the lives and loves of a group of women in a Beirut beauty parlour.
