New Line Cinema has paid high seven figures for North Americanrights to Running Scared, Wayne Kramer's follow-up to The Coolerthat stars Paul Walker as a low-level mobster who must find a gun used in acontract killing.

Chazz Palminteri, Vera Farmiga, Alex Neuberger and Cameron Bright also star inthe picture, a co-production between Media 8 and VIP Medienfonds.

ICM's new international team of Hal Sadoff and Shaun Redick packaged the deal,and alongside Media 8 negotiated the deal with New Line.

Michael Pierce, Sammy Lee, Stewart Hall and Brett Ratner are serving asproducers and Andrew Pfeffer, Andreas Grosch, Andreas Schmid and Matt Luberserve as executive producers.

New Line's senior vice president of acquisitions Guy Stodel is overseeing theproject for the studio.

Media 8 previously partnered with New Line on Sundance entry The Upside OfAnger, which stars Joan Allen and Kevin Costner and is scheduled to opendomestically on Mar 11.
