A24 and Babygirl director Halina Reijn are reteaming on the feature Please starring US singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams in her film debut.
Reijn will write and direct the film and plot details remain under wraps. A24 is producing and financing, with David Hinojosa reuniting to produce with Reijn after Babygirl and Bodies Bodies Bodies, alongside Reijn through her Man Up Film.
The Dutch filmmaker’s erotic thriller Babygirl starred Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson and grossed close to $65m at the worldwide box office after its late 2024 debut. Satirical slasher film Bodies Bodies Bodies opened in 2022 and grossed more than $13m worldwide.
Abrams burst on to the scene in 2019 and has earned Grammy nominations, topped the charts around the world, and supported Taylor Swift on her Eras tour.
