‘Westworld’

Westworld and Mission: Impossible producer Bad Robot has hired a former A+E Networks and Warner Bros executive to work with Ben Stephenson on its TV division’s business strategy.

Carlos Williams joins in the newly-created role of head of business operations, television at JJ Abrahams’ company and will provide oversight of all TV output and help to establish operational guidelines and a strategy for the division.

Williams was previously head of West Coast business and legal affairs for A+E Networks and A+E Studios, where he oversaw all business and legal aspects of the company’s output.

He has previously worked closely with Bad Robot in a business affairs role at Warner Bros Television’s primetime and premium cable scripted division.

In the new role, he will report directly to Stephenson, who is head of television.

Bad Robot is currently working on a version of BBC2’s The Wrong Mans for Showtime and has three HBO series in production: Lovecraft Country, Demimonde and series three of Westworld.
