EXCLUSIVE: Balagan Productions options London-set crime thriller The Finest.

UK production outfit Balagan Productions has optioned Solomon Wariso’s script The Finest, a London-set crime thriller about an elite undercover cop seduced by the world he is infiltrating.

Balagan founder Jonathan Weissler (Reuniting the Rubins) will produce. Financing is underway on the $12m-budgeted project which is utilising private equity, EIS and minimum guarantees.

The production is due to shoot this autumn in London and add cast and director shortly.

Wariso is a former athlete who now works as a sports agent. The Finest is his feature debut script.

Also on Balagan’s development slate are sci-fi Atlas, horror Blue Mesiah and thriller Benson Child Clown.
