In a major shake-up to the Benelux distribution sector, major players A-Film and Benelux Films Distribution plans to join forces.

These future activities will be conducted through a newly established corporation, A-Film Benelux Ltd.

All upcoming releases, both nationally and internationally, will be part of this new partnership, thereby creating the largest independent Benelux distributor, active in all media and holding a leading position in Holland for upcoming local films.

The new company will be managed by three directors headed by Wilco Wolfers as CEO.

Wolfers said: ” BFD and A-Film are a perfect match because of their similar market visions.”

Sim van Veen, the new COO, said: “Because of the rapidly changing entertainment market, and fragmentation, we will be ready for the future with this consolidation.”

Coen Michielsen, who has been working with A-Film for more than years, completes the board of directors as CFO.
