Attendees on Oct 3 will include director Oliver Stone and producer Ed Pressman.

The Zurich Film Festival has selected Oliver Stone’s Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps as its closing night film.

The film will premiere in its German-language version.

As previously reported, the film’s star Michael Douglas will receive the Golden Icon Award in Zurich this year; his friend Danny DeVito will accept on his behalf as Douglas was recently diagnosed with cancer.

In addition to DeVito, special guests for closing night on Oct 3 will include Oliver Stone, producer Edward Pressman and another Zurich honoree, Milos Forman.

The Wall Street sequel, which premiered in Cannes, picks up as Gordon Gekko (Douglas) is released from prison and becomes entangled with his estranged daughter (Carey Mulligan) and her financially motivated boyfriend (Shia LaBeouf).

The Zurich Film Festival runs Sept 23-Oct 3.

The film is out in Swiss-German cinemas on Oct 21.
