Scottish actor Ewan McGregor will receive the Bafta Scotland award for outstanding contribution to film and television at the upcoming ceremony in Glasgow, on November 16.
Perthshire-born McGregor’s acting credits span Brassed Off, Shallow Grave, Trainspotting, Moulin Rouge! and the Star Wars prequel trilogy. He made his directorial debut in 2016 with American Pastoral, based on the novel of the same name.
TV roles include Netflix’s Halston, FX’s Fargo, A Gentleman In Moscow for Paramount+ and Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi.
He has previously won Bafta Scotland awards for his roles in 1996’s Trainspotting and 2003’s Young Adam.
