Fremantle has unveiled former CEO of Platform One Media and Gaumont Television Katie O’Connell Marsh as the CEO of its newly-formed global scripted hub, working across drama series and film.
Her role fills the gap left by Christian Vesper, who stepped down as chief executive of global drama and film in January.
She will take up the London-based position in the autumn, reporting to Andrea Scrosati, group chief operating officer and CEO of continental Europe.
O’Connell Marsh will provide creative, commercial and strategic direction across Fremantle’s scripted labels; work closely with local teams to strengthen collaboration; oversee Fremantle’s annual scripted investment budget, recommending investment in new projects and selected third-party opportunities; and work closely with Fremantle’s commercial and international team on sales forecasts and commercial analysis to support investment decisions.
O’Connell Marsh most recently served as an external advisor to US management consulting firm Bain & Company. She was also previously vice chair of Canada’s Boat Rocker Studios, and has executive produced TV series including Apple TV+’s Palm Royale.
