
Simon Hynd’s Ghosts: The Possession Of Button House, a feature version of BBC comedy series Ghosts, about a couple who inherit a dilapidated property teeming with invisible residents, will start filming in the UK for BBC Film, Lionsgate and BBC Studios in March.
Alison Owen and Debra Hayward’s Monumental Pictures, which produced the TV series, are producing. Lionsgate UK will release in the UK and Ireland, and BBC Studios is distributing worldwide.
Series creators and stars Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond have written the screenplay and are executive producers.
They also star in the feature alongside series cast members Lolly Adefope, Charlotte Ritchie and Kiell Smith-Bynoe.
Filming will take place at West Horsley Place in Surrey and on location in the surrounding area.
