
Julianne Moore is to receive a lifetime achievement award at the Rome Film Fest, which runs October 13-25.
Moore will receive the award during the screening of her latest film, The Debut, which is being presented in the festival’s Grand Public section.
The award will be presented by Jesse Eisenberg, the film’s director, screenwriter, producer and actor.
Moore, who won the best actress Oscar and Bafta in 2015 for Still Alice, is also known for her roles in Far From Heaven, The Hours, The Kids Are All Right, Magnolia and Boogie Nights.
Recent credits include Todd Haynes’ May December, Apple TV’s Echo Valley, Pedro Almodovar’s The Room Next Door, Netflix’s limited series Sirens, and historical miniseries Mary & George.
As previously announced, Rome will also give Javier Bardem a lifetime achievement award, while the festival’s industry lifetime achievement award is being presented to London-based producer Tessa Ross.
