EXCLUSIVE: True Brit Entertainment has acquired UK-Ireland rights to Paul Andrew Williams’ supernatural drama thriller Faith.

The UK’s Bankside and France’s Logical Pictures are selling the project, which is currently shooting in the UK.

Adolescence’s Erin Doherty stars alongside James McAvoy in the story of a hard-working and devoted single mother who meets a quietly enigmatic stranger. The presence of someone who appears to care for her brings a new and exciting dynamic to her life, despite the fact she knows nothing about him or what his intentions towards her really are.

When her life is abruptly turned upside down and the stranger’s true identity is revealed, she learns that she might just be able to embrace the beauty of living life fully again.

UK producers are Dominic Tighe of Giant Productions and Danny Page of Homefront Productions and Blazing Griffin. The project is being financed by Blazing Griffin, Logical and Homefront Productions.

Williams recently collaborated with Tighe on Tribeca and Edinburgh premiere Dragonfly.

Zygi Kamasa, True Brit Entertainment CEO, said: “James is one of Britain’s most acclaimed actors and Erin, following her incredible performance in Adolescence, will make for a thrilling and dramatic pairing. We are very much looking forward to working with Paul and the production team on the film’s release next year.”

“We’re thrilled to be officially partnering with True Brit for the first time on Faith,” said Tighe and Page. “As independent producers in the UK, we’ve admired the way Zygi and Nick [Manzi, head of acquisitions] champion British independent cinema and support filmmakers. It’s genuinely exciting to now be partnering with them on this release.”

“I am so happy to partner with True Brit on this film,” said Williams. “I am excited to be able to share Faith with UK audiences and look forward to a successful release.”

“[True Brit’s] passion and enthusiasm for Faith has been unrivalled and their position in the UK market gives us confidence that the film will be expertly released in its home territory,” said Bankside and Logical.
