Faith and family content specialist Pinnacle Peak Pictures has struck a raft of territory deals heading into AFM on adoption drama Lifemark.

The film hails from director Kevin Peeples and executive producers Alex and Stephen Kendrick – the filmmaking team behind Fireproof, Courageous, Overcomer and War Room, which have collectively grossed more than $175m at the global box office.

Peeples directed Lifemark and the Kendricks are among the executive producers on the story of on an 18-year-old boy whose birth mother makes contact for the first time since she put him up for adoption. Kirk Cameron (Left Behind: The Movie), Alex Kendrick and Raphael Ruggoro are among the cast.

Pinnacle Peak VP of international sales Ron Gell introduced the title to buyers at TIFF and is orchestrating the international theatrical roll-out, closing deals with Crossroads for Australia and New Zealand, Kingsway for the UK, E-Dreams for Spain, and Salt Media for Singapore.

BF Distribution will distribute across select Latin American rights in association with Canzion, and California Filmes has acquired the balance of rights in the region. Negotiations are ongoing for Germany, Eastern Europe and Africa.

Lifemark has grossed more than $5m at the US box office through Fathom Events and opened at number seven in the charts on the September 9-11 weekend on more than 1,500 screens.

Gell additionally reported a successful Mipcom, “with tremendous interest in Love On The Rock, the action comedy shot in Malta”.
