EXCLUSIVE: Radiant Films International has kicked off Cannes sales on 2024 TIFF romantic comedy Addition starring Teresa Palmer from Warm Bodies and Joe Dempsie from Game Of Thrones. Vertical has acquired the film for US release.
Bruna Papandrea of Made Up Stories produced the adaption of Toni Jordan’s novel about a woman who obsessively counts everything until she experiences a life-changing encounter. Roadshow Films holds Australia and New Zealand rights and will distribute in early 2026.
Marcelle Lunam directed from Becca Johnstone’s adapted screenplay, and the producers include Steve Hutensky, Jodi Matterson, and Jeanne Snow, as well as Cristina Pozzan for Buon Giorno Productions. The film premiered in Toronto last year.
Addition received major production investment from Screen Australia, in association with VicScreen, and was financed with support from Soundfirm, Made Up Stories, and Buon Giorno Productions.
WME Independent negotiated the deal with Vertical.
The current slate at CEO Mimi Steinbauer’s Radiant Films International includes dark comedy Psycho Therapy from Tolga Karacelik starring Steve Buscemi, Britt Lower, and John Magaro; horror comedy Borderline produced by Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap starring Samara Weaving and Ray Nicholson; and the documentary 76 Days Adrift with Ang Lee as executive producer.
